About the Artist

Throughout my career, I have studied and taken workshops with many prominent artists and teachers.  

My career as an artist began in Illinois where I showcased y work at local art shows and in the basement of my home.  We relocated to Florida in 1977 and my creativity flourished in a new environment.  My painting styles and mediums have evolved through the years.  I have worked in watercolor, mixed mediums, oil, acrylic and collage.  Changing mediums has enabled me to explore freely and continue to grow as an artist.

I have traveled through the country exhibiting in juried fine art shows and winning numerous awards.  My paintings can be found in many private and corporate collections through out the world:

My work draws inspiration from the colors and textures of the local landscape of my hometown and in my travels as an artist.  The images I create are contemporary impressionism and abstract.  They are done by applying paint to gallery wrapped canvas with a brush or palette knife.  To best capture a feeling of light, depth and tranquility  vivid colors and textures are used.
